Connections Online Quiz League
An Online Quiz League with UK and USA conferences based on Only Connect.
Welcome to the Connections Online Quiz League. This is an exciting competition based on the hit BBC quiz show Only Connect. We currently have over 200 teams from around the world competing in our three conferences each week. This competition replicates the Only Connect experience almost perfectly - the closest you can get to the show without being interrogated by Victoria Coren Mitchell.
Our 12th Season will commence on Tuesday 8th September and below you can see the full schedule. Registration is currently open. We will also be running a completely free Taster Event. All new teams will be entered into this and will play two games of COQL at no cost to themselves. After playing the taster, teams are under no obligation to join the league, but we are sure that after playing a couple of games of COQL, you'll be delighted to join the full season.
Individuals are welcome to register and we will be happy to place you on a team with other individuals looking to participate in COQL.
Schedule for Season 12 of Connections Online Quiz League is as follows
Friday 14th August - Deadline for individuals to register for the Taster Event
Sunday 16th August - Deadline for Teams to register for the Taster Event
Tuesday 18th-Sunday 23rd August - Week 1 of Taster Event
Tuesday 25th-Sunday 30th August - Week 2 of Taster Event
Tuesday 1st September - Deadline for individuals to register for the full season.
Thursday 3rd September - Deadline for teams to register for the full season
All weeks of the season run from Tuesday to Sunday
8th-13th September - Week 1
15th-20th September - Week 2
22nd-27th September - Week 3
29th September-4th October - Week 4
6th-11th October - Week 5
13th-18th October - Week 6
20th-25th October - Week 7
27th October - 1st November - Week 8
3rd-8th November - Week 9
10th-15th November - Week 10
17th-29th November - Week 11 (Please note that this is a double length week to account for reduced availability due to OQL Buzzer Quiz and US Thanksgiving)
1st-6th December - Week 12
8th-13th December - Week 13 (This week may not be needed, and if it is, it's possible that only Division 1 teams will play in it)
