We will be taking over the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly for the weekend of 31st July to 2nd August 2026. The Mercure is experiencing a complete refurbishment between now and the 2026 Weekender, so you can expect excellence throughout the hotel. This venue offers accommodation for attendees and conference rooms in which all our quizzes will be played. We recommend that you book in to this hotel for ease of access to the quiz events and we have negotiated a special event discount. However, it is not compulsory and attendees are free to stay wherever they wish.

Food
You can also add breakfast to your booking when completing your booking. Lunches are also purchasable but this is done through OQL and should be included in your registration.
Lunch can be booked for Saturday and/or Sunday. There are two options. For £16 you can order a grab bag which will contain sandwiches, fruit, chocolate, crisps and drink and will cost £16 per day. These will be collected from a central location and eaten wherever you choose.
The second option is a hot buffet at £20 to be eaten in the on site restaurant. The menu changes weekly so at this time we cannot guarantee what will be available on the buffet. If ordering lunches please ensure you advise us of any dietary requirements when making your booking. Lunches must be booked and paid for in advance of the event and can be purchased alongside your ticket or at a later date.

Check-in time for the hotel is 3pm, however, if your room is available earlier you will be able to check in but this is entirely at the hotel’s discretion. If you are unable to check into you room prior to the commencement of the quizzes you are able to leave your possessions in a safe room.
Check-out time is 11am. If you are checking out on Sunday but attending the Sunday quizzes you will be welcome to leave your luggage in the safe room or at the side of the International Suite.
Parking and public transport
There is parking at the hotel but it is charged at a rate of £20 per 24 hours. Blue Badge holders will be entitled to free parking all weekend in the hotel car park. We have a limited number of free parking spaces, there will be a random draw of the people who signed up for an Early Bird ticket and those drawn will be offered a parking space.
Due to the price of parking we recommend attendees travel by train. The hotel is approximately 5 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station which has fantastic rail links to pretty much anywhere in Mainland UK.
