The OQL British Quiz Weekender will take place from 11am on Friday 31st July until 5pm on Sunday 2nd July at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly. The main quiz events will be: –
- Individual specialist subject quizzes
- Pairs SpeedQuiz
- OQL Live VIII (individual written quiz across multiple subjects)
- The flagship OQL Regional Championship quiz
- Interactive Multi-media quiz
- Connections Online Quiz League Live
- Lewis Jones’s Big Pub Quiz Quiz
There will also be social activities held around the main events, open to all who wish to attend. These include:
- Escape Room trip
- Five (or Seven) a side football
- Quizzers Karaoke
- parkrun
- Cash for Questions live gameshow
We are open to adding any other social events that may be enjoyed to this group, so let us know if you have any ideas that might be enjoyed.
You can see a full and detailed schedule of all events here. Attendees may attend as many, or as few of the events as they wish to, and there will be dedicated buzzer quiz, board game, and chill-out rooms available on site at all times if you want to take a break from the main area.
All attendees are entitled to a 20% discount on the rate of their hotel stay at the Mercure, Manchester Piccadilly for the duration of the event. You can book this HERE.
Attendees can play as many or as few quizzes as they like. Whilst quizzes are happening we will also be offering a chill out room, a board game room and a buzzer quiz room so we’re sure there will be plenty to keep you occupied all weekend.
You can experience all of these quizzes for a discounted early bird rate of only £159, available until February 28th. From then, tickets will only be available at the regular price of £189. There will also be single day passes available for £79 a day, that will allow you access to all of that day’s events. Registration will close on June 30th.
