The league season for OQL Season 9 is at an end and we would like to offer our warmest congratulations to the following teams for their success in this season.

JON JACOB CUP
The handicap competition named after Jon Jacob commences on Wednesday. Here's how it works.
Round 1 will be played on Wednesday 29th March. 128 teams will play this week, the winners progress to the Cup 2nd round, the losers move to the Plate 1st round
Cup R2 will be played on Wednesday 5th April. The 64 winners from the 1st round play each other, the winners move to R3 the losers are eliminated. The 64 losers from 1st round play each other in the plate. The winners progress to Round 2. The losers are eliminated.
Cup R3 and Plate R2 will be played on Wednesday 12th April. At this stage both competitions will have 32 teams. The winners progress and the losers are eliminated.
Cup R4 and QF and Plate R3 and QF will both be played on Wednesday 19th April Teams will be in groups of 4, one team will host the Zoom meeting and arrange for one game to be played in a breakout room. The two winners from the 1st game will meet in the quarter finals. Any team who loses either game this week are eliminated.
The Semis and Finals of both competitions will be played on .Wednesday 26th April OQL will arrange the Zoom room and hosts for all matches so you just turn up and play
There are trophies for winners of the Cup and the Plate and runners-up in the Cup.

SEASON 10
Registration is now available for Season 10. This can be done on the website at the link https://quizcentral.net/qc/Online_Quiz_League_UK_-_Register . You can also confirm your return by sending us an email at info@onlinequizleague.com or by sending a message direct to Jon or simply by making payment for the season, payment details are below.
You are able to register for multiple seasons to receive a price break. It's £70 a season but if you sign up for two seasons you'll pay £135, three seasons is £195 and four seasons is £25. These are the dates for the upcoming seasons.
Season 10 – May 10th – July 19th 2023 (There is NO JJ cup after this season but BOOQL will run)
Season 11 - 30th August - 13th December 2023
Season 12 – January 10th - 24th April 2024
Season 13 – May 8th – July 17th 2024 (There is NO JJ cup after this season but BOOQL will run)

Payments should be made via bank transfer to to Tide Bank Account, Online Quiz League, Sort Code 04-06-05 Account number 15269534. If your team are not based in the UK then please go to PayPal.me/OQL to complete the payment.
If you have previously paid for multiple seasons then you need do nothing further to participate in Season 10.
You can also refer a new team to the league. For every team who joins the league and quotes your team name in their registration form your team will receive £20 credit. So, sign a few teams up and you'll get a free season with OQL.
Season 10 will also include the Brain of Online Quiz League which is open to all members of OQL plus specially invited non-members. Cost for this will be £4 per player and will involve a qualifier to place players into 8 tiers of 32 players and then a straight knock out Mimir competition. All games will be played on Sunday afternoons in June and information on how to participate will be shared in May.
OTHER COMPETITIONS
International Culture Challenge is due to commence again in May and will shortly open for registration so look out for information about that.
Our Individual Championships are on Saturday 25th March at venues up and down the UK and Ireland, it is too late to participate but look out for posts celebrating all our high achievers.
Pop Culture Challenge has now entered the knock out stage and in just over 2 weeks we will be crowning our 20 tier champions.
We expect to announce details of our most popular event each year, the OQL Buzzer Quiz. Look out for a big announcement on this as spaces for this competition sell out incredibly quickly.
