Foregone Conclusion
Initially formed as an offshoot of the now-defunct Quizzer379, Foregone Conclusion started out in Season 2 as a team of schoolmates. They struggled in their debut season, managing to achieve just one rank from the bottom. Season 3 saw them – with a slightly refreshed squad – fare better, although the potential to improve on that season’s mid-table (of the bottom division) finish was prevented by imminent A-levels, which ultimately saw all but captain Robert Crawley retire from the OQL.
In order to replace his exam-bound teammates, Robert had to look beyond the confines of his classrooms, and it was from a group of scratch players looking for a team that he found Fintan O’Connor, Morgan Bush and Matthew Nail. Lindsay Baumeister was also persuaded to transfer instead of quit, and FC irregular (and father of the captain) Stuart Crawley was promoted to the full squad. After a respectable Season 4, the team also added Rebecca McMonies to their ever-improving line-up. Now part real family, part found family, Foregone Conclusion have become a real force to be reckoned with.
The team have managed to go from strength to strength in recent seasons, doing well in the cup and with some members in Division 1 and 2 of the Connections League, some members Pop Culture Challenge finalists and some members putting in appearances in the International Culture Challenge, USA Pop Solos, and the OQL Buzzer Quiz.
Since first coming together as a team, Foregone Conclusion have really grown in ability and are now in Division 5.
