Brain of Online Quiz League
Brain of Online Quiz League is an individual competition played using the Mimir format. The competition takes place during the summer OQL season of each calendar year and is played on Sundays. Entry is £4 per player. Please note players are only guaranteed to participate in the qualifier and one knock out match and all matches are scheduled between players using the Quiz Central scheduling tool used in PCC and ICC. Players must be eligible to participate, you can see the eligibility requirements on the registration page.
Brain of Online Quiz League 4 (BOOQL 4) will take place in June and July 2023 during OQL Season 10. Registration is now closed.
The schedule is below - please note that there has been a slight change to the format and all matches will now be scheduled between the players as per ICC and PCC. Game weeks will run from Monday to Sunday.
June 4th - Qualifier to determine which tier everyone plays in. Players will have 24 hours in which to play this qualifier over WikiQuiz. Any player who does not complete the WikiQuiz will be removed from the competition. Monday June 5th will be an off day where players are free to appeal any answers from the qualifier quiz.
June 6th-12th - Heats - These games will be scheduled between the players to take place at any point during the game week. The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Quarter finals - the other two players will be eliminated. Please note - this game week runs from Tuesday to Monday.
June 13th-18th - Quarter Finals - These games will be scheduled between the players to take place at any point during the game week. The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Semi finals - the other two players will be eliminated Please note - this game week runs from Tuesday to Sunday.
June 19th-25th - Semi Finals - These games will be scheduled between the players to take place at any point during the game week. The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Tier Final - the other two players will be eliminated.
July 2nd - Final - These games will be recorded and aired on our YouTube channel. The winner of each match will be crowned BOOQL Tier Champion and win the BOOQL trophy. If any player who makes the final is unavailable on July 2nd they should advise us as soon as possible so their final can be scheduled between the players.
