Brain of Online Quiz League is an individual competition played using the Mimir format. The competition takes place during the summer OQL season of each calendar year and is played on Sundays. Entry is £4 per player. Please not players are only guaranteed to participate in the qualifier and one knock out match and all matches are played on Sundays between 6pm and 10pm with no exceptions.

Players will play in 5 matches, including one 96 question Mimir to place players in tiers. All matches are scheduled between players using the Quiz Central scheduling tool used in PCC and ICC. Players must be eligible to participate, you can see the eligibility requirements on the registration page.
  
Brain of Online Quiz League 4 (BOOQL 4) will take place in June and July 2023 during OQL Season 10 and registration will open shortly. Entry fee will be £4 per player.

Brain of Online Quiz League 5 (BOOQL 5) will take place in June and July 2024 during OQL Season 13. Registration is now open and closes on Saturday 25th May.
  
The schedule is below - please note that all matches must be played between 6pm and 10pm GMT on Sunday evenings and there are no exceptions to this. If you cannot make this time slot during the competition then you will forfeit that match.

June 4th - Qualifier to determine which tier everyone plays in. Players will have 24 hours in which to play this qualifier over WikiQuiz. Any player who does not complete the WikiQuiz will be removed from the competition.

May 27th to June 9th - Qualifier to determine which tier everyone plays in. Players will be randomly drawn in a game of 4 to play an 8 round, 24 quad mimir competition. Players are then ranked based on own gets, total points and strength of seat to determine their tiers for the competition. This is a double game week as games will take longer to complete.
  
June 11th - Heats - These games will all start at either 6pm, 7pm, 8pm or 9pm GMT. The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Quarter finals - the other two players will be eliminated.

The top 2 in each quarter final game will progress to the Semi finals - the other two players will move to placement games. Places who finished 3rd or 4th in the heats will place placement games this week.
  
June 25th - Quarter Finals - These games will all start at either 6pm, 7pm, 8pm or 9pm GMT. The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Semi finals - the other two players will be eliminated.

July 2nd - Semi Finals - These games will all start at either 6pm, 7pm, 8pm or 9pm GMT. The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Tier Final - the other two players will be eliminated.

The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Tier Final - the other two players will move to placement games. All previously eliminated players will continue to play placement games.
  
July 9th - Final - These games will be recorded and aired on our YouTube channel. The winner of each match will be crowned BOOQL Tier Champion and win the BOOQL trophy.

The top 2 in each quarter final game will progress to the Semi finals - the other two players will move to placement games. Places who finished 3rd or 4th in the heats will place placement games this week.

The top 2 in each heat will progress to the Tier Final - the other two players will move to placement games. All previously eliminated players will continue to play placement games.
